I was born and raised in a Muslim family in India, and my wife was born in a Hindu family in Nepal. I accepted Christ as my personal savior on 8th June 2002, but when my parents discovered my new faith in Christ I was disowned and forced to leave the house. Therefore, with prayer and a vision to serve God, I decided to move to Nepal in 2006. I met my wife, Babita, in Nepal in 2009, and shortly afterwards in 2011 we were married. We both had an opportunity to suffer for Christ in many ways, and we both have seen, experienced, and shared the grace of God. From 2006 until 2016 I was a full-time minister in the Nepali church in Nepal. During all those years of my ministry life, I realized that the "harvest is plentiful, but reapers are few." Therefore, with prayer, we as a family decided to come to the U.S. to be trained to equip more leaders to reach the Nepali community. We both have successfully completed our degrees (M.Div. & MAET) this year, and I am pursuing a Th.M. degree for another two years. Our vision is to go back to Nepal to plant churches and to train and equip more leaders for God's kingdom work.
It is by God's grace that I have also had an opportunity to serve God's people through a small Nepali church plant in St. Louis for the past three years as a part-time pastor. I am offering classes to leaders in our ethnic language every Saturday, right after our regular weekly fellowship. I am also leading a Bible study and other leadership training. It is our prayer and plan to return to Nepal right after my graduation in 2022 to pursue the vision that God has implanted in my heart.
