Natalia is native Puerto Rican who came to Covenant Theological Seminary in the summer of 2015 where she acquired her Master's degree in Divinity. She is returning in July 2018 to Puerto Rico to continue to serve the reformed Presbyterian church planting movement lead by La Travesía church in San Juan, Puerto Rico.
The La Travesía Church is a church plant in the Puerto Nuevo neighborhood of San Juan. This congregation is the first of a reformed Presbyterian church planting movement for Puerto Rico whose mission and vision is to advance the gospel and beauties of the reformed faith in Puerto Rico. This movement has already planted a second church in Dorado, PR called Trinity. Natalia, will work with both churches, bringing leadership in areas of worship, community groups, and outreach. She is very eager to bring the healthy, grace-saturated Gospel and training she received at Covenant Seminary.
As you may know, Puerto Rico was impacted by Hurricane Maria in September 2017. There is still much work to be done by the church for the island and her people. As a native Puerto Rican, she well-equipped and trained to bring the light and hope of the gospel of Christ to a broken people as she, along with her own family and Island, have suffered the consequences of creation's groaning for redemption and restoration in the form of this hurricane.
